ISS STOXX Named Category Winner for Cyber Risk Analytics – Indexing and Benchmarking in the Chartis Research RiskTech100® 2027 Report
ROCKVILLE, Md. (October 2, 2026) – ISS STOXX, a leading provider of actionable insights that capital market participants around the world use to inform their decision-making, has been named the category winner for “Cyber Risk Analytics – Indexing and Benchmarking,” a new award category, in the Chartis Research RiskTech100® 2027 report.
Chartis Research is a leading provider of research and analysis on the global market for risk technology. The RiskTech100® is Chartis’s flagship report, a comprehensive and independent study of the world’s major players in risk and compliance technology. Using what it describes as a robust, repeatable methodology, Chartis ranks the top 100 risk technology providers and identifies the top players in specific risk and compliance categories. The awards also recognize category winners for key areas of risk and compliance management technology.
“We are pleased to again be recognized by Chartis, this year in the new Cyber Risk Analytics – Indexing and Benchmarking category,” said Doug Clare, Managing Director for Cyber Strategy at ISS-Corporate. “This recognition reflects the continued evolution of our cyber risk capabilities and our focus on providing investors and other market participants with rigorous data and analytical tools, as well as the significant investment we have made in enabling companies to contextualize their own cyber risk through new, comprehensive benchmarking tools.”
The ISS STOXX Cyber Risk Score provides a scaled measure of the likelihood that an organization will experience a significant cybersecurity incident within the next 12 months. The score is calculated using a machine-learning model trained on historical cyber security incidents and analyzes Internet-exposed network and domain signal data together with business profile characteristics.
“ISS-STOXX continues to enhance, broaden and customize its cyber risk quantification capabilities,” said Sid Dash, Chief Researcher at Chartis. “In addition, its focus on analytical enrichment, with indices, benchmarks and other derived data sets calculated with analytical rigor off of core data, is the reason for its category award for Cyber Risk Analytics – Indexing and Benchmarking in RiskTech100® 2027.”
The ISS STOXX Cyber Risk Score is available to institutional investors through ISS STOXX Sustainability, the responsible investment arm of ISS STOXX, to help investors assess forward-looking cyber incident risk and support more meaningful engagement with issuers. ISS-Corporate also makes the score available to companies for self-assessment, peer benchmarking, and third-party risk management, providing companies with a view of their cyber incident risk through the same lens as their investor stakeholders. The score is also used by insurers for cyber risk underwriting and portfolio risk management.
