Align Your Investments to a Common, Global Framework

The UN SDGs were established in 2015 to provide a common framework that can be used to encourage financing of global sustainable development priorities. Our tools let you see the impact of individual companies and publicly traded funds—giving you a detailed understanding of how they align with and support the UN SDGs.

SDG Solutions Assessment

Our SDG Solutions Assessment measures sustainability impact across 15 social and environmental objectives. You’ll see where a company may be positively or negatively contributing across areas like climate change mitigation or gender equality.

  • Actionable Results

Provides aggregate and objective-level scoring and gives you a granular breakdown of the products and services that were assessed.

  • Proprietary Objectives

Using the UN SDGs as a reference framework, we identified 15 proprietary sustainability objectives that we use to assess companies and funds.

  • Qualitative Analysis

Our scores give you an objective way to assess how a company’s product and service portfolio contribute to or obstruct sustainable development.

  • Five-level Impact Categorization

We use five categories to give you a quick understanding of a company’s contribution or obstruction towards the sustainability objectives: significant obstruction; limited obstruction; no (net) impact; limited contribution; or significant contribution.

The SDG Impact Rating

Using the UN SDGs as a framework, our SDG Impact Rating looks across a company’s value chain to assess how well it is managing negative externalities in its operations and capitalizing on opportunities in its products and services.

  • Measured Thematically

We determine a company’s impact by looking at three pillars: products and services, operations management, and controversies.

  • Granular and Aggregate Scoring

120 distinct data points per company provide you with granular thematic assessments as well as aggregate impact measurements.

  • Customization Opportunities

Using granular pillar scores, we can work with you to develop custom ratings that align with your unique investment objectives.

  • Quality Research

Our methodology is underpinned by data and insights sourced from industry-leading solutions within the ISS STOXX universe, including: the SDG Solutions Assessment, Corporate Rating, and Norm-Based Research.
